The good portion of fish was well-cooked with nice thin and crispy batter. The chips were also fresh and thickly cut. Overall, very good.

🚨 Shocking Service from Benes Fish & Chips – £51 Out of Pocket! 🚨 Ordered a takeaway from the new Benes fish and chip shop on Saturday and opted for delivery since it said 40 minutes. What should have been a simple order turned into a complete disaster, and I’m now £51 out of pocket with no refund in sight. I ordered at 7:40 PM, with delivery expected at 8:20 PM. By 8:30 PM, there was no sign of my food, so I called and was told it was about to leave. By 8:55 PM, I was assured it had left and was just minutes away. 9:15 PM came and went—still nothing. I called again to cancel and was told to request a refund online, but when I tried, the email bounced back. After calling again, they promised a callback to sort it out, but that never happened. The shop was due to close at 9:40 PM, and by then, I still had no refund or resolution. I called again and was told they would call me at 10 PM—of course, that didn’t happen either. Since then, I’ve messaged them on Facebook and called again last night and tonight, yet still no refund, just empty promises that a manager will call me. Tonight, they told me there’s no manager available during the week—only on weekends. It’s beyond disappointing, especially as I’ve been a loyal customer of Benes for years. I understand they’re new and might have teething problems, but they’re also an established business and should have this sort of thing under control. They’ve left me no choice but to take this up with my bank.

First time using Benes, breaded fish excellent quality chips just the right portion. Will deffo use again.👏👍🏻

terrible service, over an hour late , even after two phone calls saying it was on its way. Not even a full portion of chips and the fish batter was stuck to the lid of the box. Definitely not recommended.

The Eskview Fry chippy is fantastic! The food is delicious, the service fantastic, and deliveries are quick. We love ordering from this chippy, and we highly recommend it.

Garlic Bread that was just like bread there was no garlic flavour at all. Pizza with onion...some mastermind added a handful of chips over the top...not wanted. Delivery time was given as around 40 minutes when in fact actual delivery time was 2 hours and a phone call to chase it up..shocking service...won't be back.

Fish was very dry inside and out so wasnt very nice and a few chips were cold but its the first time i have had a bad chippy from here

Requested 18:00 and it arrived at 16:40. Thankfully someone was in to receive it but, unfortunately meant by the time everyone arrived home it had been sitting nearly an hour and a half and needed re heating, which isn't what I expected. Paid £3 for the delivery too.

App said delivery would be 60 minutes phoned after 90 minutes to be told it wasn’t even out yet food then arrived 2 hours after order was placed and was clearly just freshly cooked, thankfully food was good or wouldn’t be using again

I would give a minus mark if I could, when I ordered I was told an hour, thats was ok, but 1hr 45mins in I had to phone and got the usual crap."yours is next order to go out"...I had this issue a couple of months back we gave it another shot hoping they had improved, sadly not, same poor service and feed a pack of lies when you phone. Don't think we will use them again for delivery. And as a footnote it took another 25mins to deliver even although we were "next" and a garlic bread and pizza we ordered were cold...so therefore not very fresh. I would steer clear of home delivery from this shop.

Best Blackpudding supper I've ever had the chips were great but the Blackpudding was superb..delivery was right on time ..Absolute fantastic service from the Eskview Fry.. I highly recommend the Eskview Fry especially there Blackpudding Supper...
